It goes without saying that we are an innovative and forward thinking import company. Furthermore, we are an established and reputable company with significant experience in the seafood sector, we trade on an international level and take pride in being one of the leading distributors in our line of business. We take our commitment to quality very seriously. We believe in fair trade, and we offer fish and seafood products of first-rate quality at competitive prices.

Since our products are distributed to the end customer via our wholesale and retail partners, we focus on meeting and exceeding trade requirements as well as those of the end customer. We constantly strive for absolute customer satisfaction and full product security.

Our high quality standards are secured not only by our co-operation with selected suppliers, but also through a complex quality assurance system which is defined in our HACCP concept (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point Concept).

Cold chain controls and regular inspections of the production facilities by our staff form an integral part of our quality assurance, the process is further enhanced by close cooperation with our trading partners, service providers, accredited laboratories, and authorities.

Following years of trading we have built excellent relationships with suppliers all around the world. Moreover, we select our suppliers by the following criteria:

  • hygiene
  • reliability
  • eco friendliness
  • transparency and traceability
  • first-step control competence

Each of our different products has a precise specification.  These specifications, along with the highest quality standards, are also taken into consideration when determining our choice of suppliers.

By strictly adhering to our HACCP guidelines each product type undergoes an individual, product-specific risk assessment procedure. This enables us to apply pre-defined, exact test parameters of the following kind:

  • chemical
  • microbiological
  • physical
  • sensory

German food chemist

In addition to our numerous procedures and tests quality checks are also carried out by our trading partners. For specific products random samples are also tested by local independent laboratories in the country of origin. In Europe we are working with an independent, officially certified German food chemist. On admission into our cold storage house, our goods are thoroughly tested according to our HACCP guidelines.

In addition, the veterinarian authorities take random samples from products once they have been imported into the European Union.
As an EU-approved company, our cold storage house operates in compliance with EU HACCP concept guidelines, which are ideally suited to our business. Furthermore, our cold storage house has more than 65 years of experience in the fish and seafood trade. Our goods are stored under optimal conditions in a modern high-bay deep freeze warehouse. Here a strict and steady observance of the required storage temperatures is guaranteed.
